You probably have had the idea of working for an NGO. The good pay, opportunities to travel around the country and out, the never-ending allowances that come with the job, and of course the opportunity to build a name for yourself.

It’s all good things, but you also know that finding that job opening is not an easy task. To help you out on the job search, here is a list of NGOs hiring now;

1. Save The Children, Kenya
The NGO is hiring for these positions;
Meal Officer – Suitable candidates should have a first degree in Statistics or Mathematics or relevant area and a minimum of 3 years practical experience in M&E system coordination/implementation in a large international non-governmental organisation.

Finance Coordinator – Applying candidates should have a Bachelors of Commerce degree in an area of Finance or equivalent, Professional qualifications in Accounting (CPA II section finalist or ACCA II) and at least 3 years experience in a relevant field.

2. International Rescue Commitee (IRC), Kenya
IRC Kenya is hiring in the following positions;
Nutrition Co-ordinator – candidates should have a Degree in Nutrition and a minimum of 5 years experience in nutrition programs in resource poor settings. Should also have background in conducting situational analysis.

Mental Health Nurse – Applying candidates should have a diploma in either counselling, social work or nursing froma recognized nurse training institution.

Senior Internal Audit – The position requires candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Business related field and CPA/CIA/CA qualifications or at least currently pursuing.

3. Action Africa Help International (AAH-I), Kenya
The NGO is recruiting for;
Project Officer – for their Somalia Country programme. Applying candidates should have a relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field Diploma in Agriculture, Certificate in Community Development, Project Management), have proficiency with Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Word and Excel and at least 5 years’ of progressively responsible.

Assistant Project Officer – Candidates should have a diploma or certificate in a relevant are, either community development, public health or helth promotion and at least 2 Years experience in community mobiliation.

Project Manager – The position requires candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Health Promotion/Education or Public Health) and at least 5 years of responsible project experience

4. Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Kenya
The leader in fight against pediatric HIV & AIDS is looking for a Program Manager. This position will require candidates with a higher education degree or relevant and a minimum of 5-8 Years experience in International HIV programs.

5. Kwacha Afrika, Kenya
The NGO is looking to hire a Career Guidance Officer. Applying candidates should have a BA or at least higher Diploma in social science, psychology or related fields and working knowledge of local employment procedures.

6. Nyanza Reproductive Health Society (NRHS), Kenya
The NGO is seeking to fill the position of a Mobilizer/Tracer. The position requires candidates with a diploma in a health related field or social work, 2 Years experience in community mobilization and excellent communication skills in English, Dholuo and Swahili.

7. Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Kenya
NRC Kenya is looking to fill the following positions;
Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator – Candidates should have a University degree preferably in social sciences, international relations and/or development or other relevant discipline and at least 5 years’ relevant working experience in M&E design and implementation.

Finance Coordinator – the position requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related with a minimum of 5 years experience in grants management.

Mechanic Teacher – Candidates should have a diploma or higher national diploma in mechanical engineering specialized in Automobiles and 2 years relevant experience.

Regional Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator – A University degree in Social Sciences, International Relations or Development or equivalent and at least 5 years experience in M&E design and implementation.

Intern: Monitoring & Evaluation – The position requires a candidate with Experience in Big Data Management (analysis, graphical presentation and reporting) as well as Experience working with statistical softwares (SPSS, Excel, Epi-Info).

8. Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), Kenya
LSTM Kenya is looking to hire;
Finance Officer. The candidate should possess a university degree in a Business related degree either in Accounting or Business Administration. Professional Accounting qualification will be an added advantage.

Accountant – Candidates for this position will have a University degree in a business related degree preferably Accounting or Business Administration and CPA (K), ACCA, ACA qualifications.

9. Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), Kenya
MSF Kenya is looking to hire a Nursing Activity Manager. Applying candidates should be nurses with diploma or degree and registered community health nurses. 2-5 years managerial experience also needed.

10. Rescue Dada Centre, Kenya
The street girls focused NGO is seeking to fill the position of a Resource Mobilization Officer. The position requires applicants to be computer literate and have experience in fund raising and mobilizing resources and a Commitment to the work based on an understanding of Rescue Dada’s purpose.

11. Evidence Action, Kenya
The NGO is currently looking for;
Senior Associate. To apply for this position, candidates should have a degree in Sociology, Health management, Public Health or other social sciences and a minimum of 5 Years experience.

Associate, Community Liaison – Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Health management, Public health or other social sciences from a recognized University and at least 3 Years experience.
