Investigation Officer Job Vacancies in Kenya

The Council of Legal Education is established under the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya.

The core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training, to license and supervise legal education providers; conduct Bar Examinations; and to advice the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.

In order to efficiently and effectively deliver its functions, the Council wishes to recruit a full time high calibre staff in the following position:-

Job Title: Investigation Officer

Investigation Officer Job Overall purpose

  • Reporting to Manager, Quality Assurance, the incumbent will be responsible for undertaking quality assurance and compliance monitoring of training providers through periodic inspections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist review applications for approval or renewal requests from legal training providers for completeness;
  • Assist in reviewing and processing applications for approval of training providers;
  • Conduct visits to training institutions to monitor adherence to standards and set curriculum;
  • Assist in reviewing applications for equation and accreditation of foreign legal qualifications;
  • Update the database of accredited legal training providers.

Qualifications and Skills for Investigations Officer Jobs in Kenya

  • Bachelors Degree in Law;
  • Training in Standards and accreditation;
  • At least 4 years relevant working experience in a similar environment
  • Experience in conducting research;
  • Good report writing skills;
  • A team player, high level interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and adhere to set timeliness;
  • Must be computer literate;

Salary Scale

Basic Pay: Kshs.57,500 x 2,875 to 60,375 x 2,875 to 63,250 x 2,875 to 66,125 x 2,875 to 69,000 x 2,875 to 71,875 x 2,875 to 74,750 x 2,875 to 77,625 x 2,875 to 80,500 x 2,875 to 83,375
House Allowance: Kshs.35,000
Commuter Allowance: Kshs.8,000
