Our client is in the MotorCycle assembly business with an established factory in Nairobi. They are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to fill in the position of Warehouse Assistant.

Warehouse Assistant Job Key Responsibilities

• Processing orders
• Security arrangements at the warehouse, scheduling maintenance, repairs and replacement of equipment
• Organising the dispatch and delivery of goods
• Ensuring goods are stored safely
• Implement and maintaining health and safety standards
• Keeping accurate records
• Managing timesheets
• Use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs;
• Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle;
• Use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements;
• Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers;
• Develop business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions;
• Understand, work with and possibly help to develop e-commerce;

Required Capabilities for Warehouse Assistant Kenyan Jobs

• A Degree in Commerce ( Supply Chain Management and Logistics)
• At least 3 years working experience preferably in a manufacturing industry
• Excellent analytical and IT skills
• Good leadership skills
• Integrity is key
• A good planner and organizer
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience and qualifications in warehouse and distribution operations
• Good knowledge of ERP systems
