Technician Job Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis in order to minimize breakdown and maintenance cost.
• Maintain, overhaul and repair equipment’s and carry out modifications, improvements and installation work as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of proficiency in own skill area and extend this to other relevant areas.
• Comply with technical and SHE standards, regulations and procedures to ensure that best practice is maintained in all engineering work.
• Plan and prepare for engineering work so that such work may be carried out in the most timely and effective way.
• Prepare reports.
• Keep records of all work planned and done.

Minimum qualifications and experience for Technician Kenyan Jobs

• OND/ HND in mechanical engineering, automotive option.
• Experience of at least 5 years in a similar role.
• Be computer, literate.
• Experience of maintaining and operating heavy fuel oil treatment modules.
• Be a team player and have good interpersonal skills.
• Full knowledge of mechanical standards in heavy power generating plants.
• Excellent safety, health and environmental standards awareness especially in a power generation station.
