Welder Job Responsibilities

• Engineering Production of plant parts within required TIME&SPECS per engineering drawings.
• Liaising with the workshop Team Leader to ensure prompt withdrawal/placement of tools & parts to ensure no plant shut down on account of lack of spare equipment’s.
• To ensure machining is done in accordance with SAFETY Specifications &Operating manuals to minimise downtime and zero tolerance on damage to machinery.
• Inform the Team Leader of any existing /arising requirements on status and servicing of machinery/equipment’s.
• Overall management of the shop floor to ensure accurate jobs are executed and work standards adhered to.
• Be responsible for jobs executed, service delivery and SELF disciplined.
• Liaise with Team leader on Ordering and issuance of stores consumables, spare parts and use of the same within cost limitations.

Minimum qualifications and experience for Welder Jobs in Kenya

• Minimum GRADE TEST,CRAFT to DIPLOMA in welding/fabrication
• Minimum 2 years experience in similar job, one of which must be in a mechanical workshop.
• Knowledge of and practical experience in workshop operations.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work unsupervised.
• Team leadership and team management skills are required.
