Shelter-Afrique is a pan-African Development Finance Institution dedicated to Investment in housing and urban development in African countries.

The current shareholding comprises 44 African governments, the African Development Bank and the African Reinsurance Corporation.

The Institution with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, would like to fill the following new positions.

Executive Assistant to Managing Director

Executive Assistant Job Main Role

• Reporting to the Managing Director, the Executive Assistant will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Managing Director and ensure effective functioning of the office.

Specific duties will include:

office management ;

• managing interface with other departments and external parties;drafting, reviewing and collating documents, minutes, reports, correspondences and presentations;
• managing the dairy and appointments;
• managing information;
• managing travel bookings and schedules;
• assisting in protocol responsibilities including relations with key government departments/agencies.

Minimum requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business management, office management, secretarial studies, communication, public relations or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years experience as Executive or Administrative Assistant to a Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer or Director preferably of an international, multicultural organisation.
• Advanced Information technology skills including word, excel, access, PowerPoint and Oracle.
• Bilingual with superior written and verbal communications skills in English and French.
