National Housing Corporation (NHC) is a State Owned Enterprise (SOE) established under the Housing Act Cap.117 of the Laws of Kenya and is the principal agent of the National Government in implementation of Housing.

The principal role of NHC is development of decent and affordable housing, facilitating rural housing development as well as mobilization of local and international capital for housing development.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant position:

Engineering Assistant / Draughtsman
NHC Grade 7
Ref: NHC/EAD/06/2015

Reporting to the Principal Engineer the Engineering Assistant / draughtsman will be responsible for engineering drawings and details.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Taking site measurements
• Preparation of engineering drawings
• Preparation of engineering details and schedules
• Undertake site inspections and supervision
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• KCSE mean grade of C (plain).
• Diploma or Technician III qualification in Building or Civil engineering from KNEC
• Three (3) years’ experience in engineering draughtsman work.
• Computer literate in the use of computer aided design e.g. Auto-CAD; Archi-CAD
• Be a team player.
