The Council of Legal Education is established under the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya.
The core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training, to license and supervise legal education providers; conduct Bar Examinations; and to advice the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.
In order to efficiently and effectively deliver its functions, the Council wishes to recruit a full time high calibre staff in the following position:-
Manager, Examinations Administration
Job Grade: CLE 4
Reference: CLE/HR02/2015
Admin Manager Job Overall Purpose
- Reporting to the Director, Examinations, the incumbent will be in charge of ensuring the effective administration and implementation of sound Examination procedures.
- The position holder will also be in charge of the registration of candidates and management of examination administration process, including the management of examination centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and administer procedures for exam administration;
- Identify suitable and adequate examination venues;
- Recruit and ensure adequate number of exam supervisors/invigilators and markers.
- Plan and manage exam distribution and administration logistics;
- Coordinate the marking process;
- Develop and implement exam appeal process;
- Establish and administer a system for processing examination results
- Take custody of completed examinations awaiting marking
- Process certificates for various examinations once results have been approved and establish a secure system of certification to ensure only those who pass exams get final certificates;
- Timely release of final results and certificates
Qualifications and Skills for Admin Manager Jobs in Kenya
- A Masters Degree in Education, Business or Law
- A professional qualification in exam management
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar environment or field.
- Knowledge and High proficiency in use of ICT.
- Good Organizational skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Highest integrity
Salary Scale
Basic Pay: Kshs.134,400 x 6,720 to 141,120 x 6,720 to 147,840 x 6,720 to 154,560 x 6,720 to 161,280 x 6,720 to 168,000 x 6,720 to 174,720 x 6,720 to 181,440 x 6,720 to 188,160 x 6,720 to 194,880
House Allowance: Kshs.50,000
Commuter Allowance: Kshs.14,000
