Responsible to the director Water Technical Services
Irrigation Engineer Job Responsibilities
- Collecting baseline data for irrigation scheme planning
- Identifying irrigation scheme for development
- Carrying out detailed surveys, design and implementing irrigation scheme action plans
- Collecting and analyzing data for irrigation scheme planning
supervising irrigation scheme development activities - Preparing training materials and O and M manuals
- Development and reviewing operational standards
- Undertaking feasibility studies and preliminary investigation
- Supervising construction of irrigation scheme infrastructure
- Preparing tender document
Qualifications For Irrigation Engineer Jobs In Kenya
- University degree in water/ irrigation engineering or civil engineering specialized in irrigation engineering or any other relevant field.
- 5 years working in irrigation scheme design and development.
- Must be conversant in water modeling suite, GIS and AutoCAD
