ICT Assistant Jobs at The Council of Legal Education, Kenya

The Council of Legal Education is established under the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya.

The core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training, to license and supervise legal education providers; conduct Bar Examinations; and to advice the Government on matters relating to legal education and training.

In order to efficiently and effectively deliver its functions, the Council wishes to recruit a full time high calibre staff in the following position:-

ICT Assistant Job Overall Purpose

  • Reports to Senior ICT Officer, the successful candidate will assist in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of ICT systems and services.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support the organizations network infrastructure and services like the LAN, print services, email etc.
  • Provide ICT related support and guidance to staff.
  • Conduct and supervise ICT preventive maintenance activities
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading and repairing PC hardware and software.
  • Conduct periodic backups of the identified information systems.
  • Participate and assist in the organization of ICT related training for the staff

Qualifications and Skills for ICT Assistant Jobs in Kenya

  • Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Science
  • Degree in Information Technology or computer Science an added advantage;
  • Possess professional qualifications in CCNA or MCSE or other relevant qualification.
  • Knowledge of LINUX/UNIX will be an added advantage.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years working experience in an ICT environment.
  • Have the ability to conduct basic training in computer skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare concise oral and written reports.

Salary Scale
Basic Pay: 40,250 x 2,012.50 to 42,262.50 x 2,012.50 to 44,275 x 2,012.50 to 46,287.50 x 2,012.50 to 48,300 x 2,012.50 to 50,312.50 x 2,012.50 to 52,325 x 2,012.50 to 54,337.50 x 2,012.50 to 56,350 x 2,012.50 to 58,362.50

House Allowance: Kshs.28,000

Commuter Allowance: Kshs.6,000
