Assistant Claims Manager Job Purpose
- Assist in the preparation, implementation and articulation of prudent claims administration policies, procedures and practices governed by corporate and statutory guidelines.
Duties & Responsibility
- Assist in making continuous and critical analysis of all claims information
- Assist claims manager in ensuring reserves are adequately maintained
- Assist claims manager in ensuring recoveries are made on time
- Ensure all claims are processed within scope of cover at underwriting level
- Assist in setting up performance standards/benchmarks
- Continuously re-engineer claim process in line with changes in the market place
- Customer care management
- Ensure prompt settlement of payable claims and payment of service providers
- Assist in identifying training needs for the department
- Receive, review and advise on various reports
- Draft repudiation letters for signing by claims manager and managing director
- Any other duties allocated by management
Academic qualifications for Assistant Claims Manager Kenyan Jobs
- Bachelors Degree in business related field
Professional qualifications
- ACII or AIIK
- Relevant work experience
- 5 Years underwriting experience or claims at supervisory level
Skills, Knowledge and competencies
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good ICT skills
- Good planning and co-ordination skills
- Good organizational skills
