Our client a multinational company is looking for a several technical personnel,

Permanent way team leader (1 post)
Department: Engineering
Position reports to: Civil works manager

Technical Team Leader Job Purpose:

• The Team Leader will be responsible for Railway Track Maintenance as assigned.
• He/she will lead in inspection and measurement of track parameters, identification of defects and preparation of maintenance schedule.
• Carry out precision work in maintenance of track section assigned and yards within to achieve track availability of 98% or above.
• Routine maintenance of drainage structures and bridges on the line.
• Preparation of Maintenance Reports.
• Identification of resource requirements and preparation of schedule for materials, equipment and labour.
• The Team leader will oversee maintenance works carried out by TCML Permanent Way
• Inspectors and Artisans and Labour contractor to ensure compliance with track maintenance standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance and availability of track maintenance tools and equipments, including
• Motor Trolleys for taking staff to site.
• He/she will be in charge of personnel safety in the area assigned.
• The Team leader will be involved in accident investigation.
• Supervise construction and installation of new components on the line.
• Trouble shooting and speedy resolution of fault events.

Qualifications for Technical Team Leader Kenyan Jobs

• Diploma in Permanent Way Maintenance (RTI)/Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Computer skills (MS office)
• 15 years experience in Permanent way Maintenance
• General knowledge of Rail Operation Procedures (GOI/GOR)
• Knowledge of Bridge inspection and maintenance procedures
• General knowledge in Construction
• Ability to Manage a team of over 50 employees.
