Postal Officer

Postal Officer Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Undertake all postal duties pertaining to counter, delivery and dispatch of mails.Issue and pay money orders, postal orders and agency services.
• Sale stamp, acceptance and delivery of registered item
• Collect registered bag for openers and clearance cages and enter details on balance sheet
• Maintain and balance P150,P127 and P1 books
• Responsible for opening new files , filling work and maintenance of all official files in records office
• Deal with amendments to list of post offices and rule books as they are issued from time to time
• Prepare returns for incoming services and air mails parcels and submit to the user departments
• Perform Postmaster duties an class 3 office
• Collection and delivery of EMS items
• Handle registration items at registration cages
• Weight and compute mailing cost of letters, parcels based on type, weight and destination
• Perform other duties assigned by controlling officer.

Qualification & Skills for Postal Officer Kenyan Jobs

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCPE) C Minus and above
  Certificate in Business Administration / Management or any other relevant disciplines
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Must be between 24 and 30 years
