The Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) is an independent Office established under Article 229 of the Constitution of Kenya. The Office is charged with the primary oversight role of ensuring accountability in the use of public resources within the three arms of government (the Legislature, the Judiciary and the Executive) as well as the Constitutional Commissions, Independent Office and any entity that is funded from public funds.

Qualifications For Auditor Jobs In Kenya
Suitable candidates MUST have the following minimum qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University preferably in Social Sciences or other fieldsrelevant to the audit function such as Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics,Statistics, Computer Science,
- Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering or
other relevant disciplines. - Must have at least two years relevant experience.
- Superior Communication skills both written and Oral.
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Information Technology.
- A Masters Degree in a related field will be an added advantage
Job Purpose
- Reporting to the Manager – Audit, the incumbents will be deployed to work in any of the OAG officeslocated in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kakamega,Nyeri, Embu and Garissa. He or shewill undertake assignments allocated to him / her by the team leader which may include performance
audit, systems and process audit or audit of annual accounts of any entity funded from the public funds.
Audit Associate Job Responsibilities
Audit Associate II will be responsible for:-
- Auditing and assurance work of prescribed scope and complexity in the National or County
Government entities, State Agencies and State corporations or any entity funded from public
funds. - Obtaining an in-depth understanding of each business or function being audited, identification and
assessment of risks. - Preparing documentation (working papers, planning memorandum and audit program)
- Developing, presenting and finalizing audit reports
