Brief Description

• To analyse recorded flight data, trace interpretation and generate reports

Detailed Description

• Access raw flight data, decode, analyse, detect and determine cause of events.
• Produce monthly flight data analysis reports and trends for the attention of the Flight Safety Manager.
• Act as a liaison between aircraft manufacturers and industry to maintain optimum flight data parameters.
• Represent flight safety in any operational systems implementation or modification.
• Monitor the download of data as per the agreed download schedule.
• Maintaining the FDMS (FOQA) data for necessary review.
• Create and manage an online flight safety Library
• Maintain the flight safety site on KQWORLD
• Maintain the KQ IATA Global Aviation Data Management account and extract relevant safety trends.
• Schedule Line Operational Safety Audits, capture findings and follow up on closure.
• Prepare periodic safety reports.
• Prepare the Flight Safety section budget.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with a bias in statistics/ IT or Commercial Pilots License
• Proficiency in IT Skills
• Experience in data management
• Working Knowledge of Airline Operations
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Analytical Skills

• Proficient verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• High degree of personal initiative and integrity
• Able to work towards achieving targets without supervision
• Attention to details
• High Degree of report writing skills
• Proven project management and analytical skills
