Consultancy on Assessment of the Status of the Party Law Regime in Kenya
The Centre for Governance and Development (CGD) is seeking bids from qualified firms and individuals to undertake an assessment that will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the country's party law regime on the basis of democratic theory and international best practice, to identify and document best practices from other jurisdiction and, consequently, recommend the requisite reforms.
It will also include an analysis of the power structures to help identify the key decision makers to target for lobbying and a special focus on the party nomination infrastructure to identify critical interventions points.
Qualification
Qualification
- Post-Graduate Degree in law or Political Science;
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and interpretation of Kenya’s Political Parties particularly the identified laws;
- Experience in Civic education engagement processes especially on Political Parties structures, internal democracy and tiers on actors;
