The Trans-Nzoia County Assembly Service Board wishes to invite applications from qualified persons for the following positions:
Senior Finance Officer/ Planning Officer
(1 post) Ref: TN/CAS/2013/11
(a) Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Processing of budgetary supply matters as well as planning;
ii. Initial evaluation and scrutiny of expenditure proposals and compilation of information required in the budgetary processes;
iii. Processing of annual, forward and revised estimates of recurrent and development expenditures;
iv. Initial action for the budgeting of donor financed projects and review of financial implementation of such projects;
v. Control of expenditure commitments as may pertain to Parliament; and,
vi. Monitoring commitments, expenditures and reimbursements.
(b) Requirements for Appointment:
For appointment to this grade, an applicant must be in possession of either a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics or Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a postgraduate qualification in planning or economics. In addition an applicant must have served in the grade of Finance Officer III or in an equivalent position for at least three (5) years; and have shown merit and ability in work performance and results. (A masters degree shall be an added advantage)
